A trip to Oświęcim (Auschwitz)

On 7th October pupils and teachers went on a trip to Oświęcim. When we arrived, the guide showed us the camp. The guide told us about the camp. His stories were very interesting. Camp Auschwitz became  the symbol of terror. It was created by Germans in 1940 on suburb of Oświęcim. In Oświęcim there were mainly Poles and Jews. People there worked very hard. There the freedom meant death. People who couldn't work went to the gas chamber. It took only 20 minutes to kill 500 people. It was horrible. At present Auschwitz is a museum. We came back home late. We were tired but we gained new experiences. It made us think about human cruelty.
